Fiber Optic Splicing Trailer 8' x 18' This fantastic trailer manufactured by “Continental Cargo Trailers” was originally tasked for trade shows and was used only once for that purpose. It has been re designed and re-tasked to be used as a mobile laboratory for fiber optic cable splicing activity. It's self-contained, with its own electric power source, and is climate controlled. The trailer includes many features that are considered “options” on other trailers. An incredible 9000KW generator with enough power keep you covered under any conditions. The special new method of operation gets the generator off the frame, removed and offset from the trailer. This prevents generator vibration from reducing the quality of your splices. You’re going to have many fewer re-splices than in the past. Generator vibration can cause complete loss of your splice and reduce the quality of completed splices by 50%. Additionally the trailer is a safer habitat for technicians in terms of far lower noise levels, far less chance of generator fumes entering the lab, and far less explosion risk. The only time it makes sense to have a permanently attached generator is if you are the trailer manufacturer.
